Origins and Birth: According to Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He was born to Anjana and Kesari, who were both monkeys. The story of his birth goes back to the age of Treta Yuga when the world was ruled by Lord Rama. It is believed that Hanuman was born to aid Lord Rama in his divine mission of annihilating evil forces, specifically the demon king Ravana.
